And here are the news: At the end of this year  am making a Drama Statement with a demonic look at "Yet another tea party", private vernissage @ Torstrasse (organised by Eve and Paul) where i had showed few of my favorite artworks. Me and Kay were the coolest warriors of the Darkness, celebrating the Funeral of Sadness :))))) See the pictures  below.

# Xmas infernalia

Oh yeah, right, its a week before Christmas. Am feeling as a character from an american movie, you know, all this Santas around, and blitz and glitz, and all this perfect-outfit-for-The Night searching. Phew. And not forget all the presents!
Today i woke up at 9 and was in such great mood, that even decided to go to IKEA to have breakfast. And i also had a holy intention to spend  a few bucks for a useful presents . And here i am, two hours later, high heels, fur, big hair and sunglasses, walking with two HUGE Ikea bags, full of stuff. Come on, it was a big sale and you know the feeling when you cant resist to buy a thing reduced to 99 cents, even if its a stupid santa claus or fake flower? yeah. that's me. Well, i also bought a new outfit for my bedroom.

Strange day, raining and snowing like shit, cold and windy and dark. Have been to a few art suppliers, bought some pastels, paper and canvases.
And here is what unconsciousness brought me today:

This is a picture i took yesterday at Torstrasse. Don't know, i kind of associate it with the current events in Moscow. Sometimes it feels like if you don't put a gun to a temple, people won't listen to you...

Oops, we did it again! Kay and I made a new work together and it feels like it's cool again. And doing it was like having sex on canvas... It's kind of intimacy which is difficult to find, a symbiotic common sense which is difficult to achieve in real life.

#5 PATTI SMITH

It's really funny, you know, when i was a kid, my parents had asked me what i want to be when i grow up, and my mom often reminds me that my favourite answer was : "I want to be a journalist or a writer. And my name will be Nicko Smith!" Hahaa
That still makes sense, by the way! May be there's a Hot single Mr Smith reading me right now? )))) No, I am just kidding. I can call myself Nicko Smith without being marry to one, right? And i worked as a  journalist for good 4 years. And i had actually written hundred pages of fiction which i would then have called a book. Yeah, unpublished.
Three years ago, suffering from a page-turning point of my life, i was asking myself, what do i want to be? Because, you know, i have already grown up. Since then i've been looking for teachers and co-thinkers, for inspiration, for technics and styles, for gurus and icons. I still don't know the right answer, but since then i have learned a lot.
Now, meet my killer of the day, Patti Smith and her awesome novel "JUST KIDS". From the very beginning, Patti doesn't know what to do with her life, but she vowed that she would make something of herself. It's kind of novel I have been waiting for ages, the book, that mirrors my state of mind and feelings , and it's kind of, you know, about me...

"Just Kids begins as a love story and ends as an elegy. It serves as a salute to New York City during the late sixties and seventies and to its rich and poor, its hustlers and hellions. A true fable, it is a portrait of two young artists' ascent, a prelude to fame."

#4 Petrovsky & Ramone

You know this feeling when you feel thirsty for inspiration, you crave for a new ideas or new visual experience? To me there are a few ways to satisfy this thirst : buy a fresh paper magazine with promising content , go surf the internet for newly updated favourite blogs , go meet my friend(s), go to the cinema or museum. Or a bookshop. Or just a shop - you never know where inspiration can be found. Yesterday night and today morning I experienced an alarming lack of inspiration and energy. And - TA-DA-! I just found the killer artist's duo to be impressed of. Petrovsky & Ramone are two beautiful and strongly talented women photographers.

Just LOVE the way they work, check it out!

#3 MIRANDA JULY

offtop : This blog feels so comfy to me like i'm sittin' on a big fluffy duvet talking to my best friend while sipping a sweet warming hot chocolate.

After my previous post i decided to think about crazy women who actually inspire me and are super talented and zeitgeisty. Now here' s a wonderful woman artist Miranda July i want to tell you about. Not so long ago me and my friend went to a Hackesche Höfe Kino to watch her recent movie "The Future". I wasn't so impressed by the plot, but the characters seemed to be super charismatic and the whole movie was really poetic. Just now i was reading the latest i-D mag, and there was an interview with her which really impressed
me. So i visited her web site and now am officially in love with Miss July. She is crazy but tasteful and talented. check it out!

# 2 NO BRAIN NO PAIN

Now that's the killer of the day - Crazy Woman. Among other details, her biggest problem is that she's actually too smart. She's too smart to let herself be devoted to a loving husband and children, to serve society by being all nice and silent and dutiful as our grannys did. It was quite a rare occasion for a women to stand out in the past. and every single one who actually did, end up badly, really badly. Society doesn't forgive smart woman. That's why it's more comfortable to call them "crazy". I have always been in love with those crazy women, there's something breath taking in them, something that makes a weak men pee in his pants of fear - so strong and powerful these women are. It's a strange phenomenon to me why all these strong women also tend to be attracted to other women. What actually the beautiful era of french feminism and Marlene Dietrich did to them? Women got "rights" to sleep in one bed and to wear pants? No, they got the right to be "officially" crazy, to feel free in their behavior and desicions. And suddenly, hello, hello! - out of nowhere comes a whole bunch of really crazy woman and here crazy is used not in a good way. My friend said to me last night that a woman can be crazy in a sexy way, and in a not-sexy way at all. I think there is a certain line between hysteria and creativity, between charisma and theatrical extravagance. Crazy woman is Smart. Smart enough to hide her crazyness or smart enough to show it in a glorious way. Quite a dilemma, eh?

#1

Hey guys! Now here' my new blog and it's about Art and Soul, street art, street style, fashion, philosophy and whatever else I choose to be The Killer of the day. Today it's an artwork, made in a collab
oration with a friend artist Kay Wright. It was a great experience to work in tandem, using our imagination in a silent agreement. We didn't choose the title yet, so don't hesitate to come up with the ideas ;)
